AirBlast is an expert software system that provides detailed information about the physical properties of blast waves in air. The information is derived from a large number of field tests using explosive charges ranging in size from less than a gram to several kilotonnes. Using a simple Windows interface, the user selects the explosive material, the exact size of the charge and its position on or above the ground surface, and then requests that specific blast properties be displayed.

AirBlast displays the physical properties of the blast waves in numerical or graphical format, as time histories at specified distances from the explosion, as wave profiles at specified times after detonation or as data summaries, at specified distances or versus distance. Graphical formats can be manipulated using built-in graphics software. SI (metric) or British units can be used.
